I finally got into pinterest! I have heard about it for awhile, but just hadn't looked into it. But I decided to check it out and I fell in love!!! I have gotten so many fun and crafty ideas! I am so excited to try some things out, and hopefully I can post some of the things I accomplish on here. I have already made the kids names out of wooden letters, scrapbook paper, and modpodge! I also reused a lysol wipe container to store plastic bags! It has been hard moving from a large American house to a small British house, so it has been cool to see all the storage ideas! I hope to be doing some more projects soon, it's just hard knowing where to buy all the supplies I need!

Has it really been four years?!

My beautiful Jacee Lou turned 4 years old yesterday. I cannot believe how fast time flies. It seems like just yesterday we were rushing to the hospital to have her! It has been such an amazing 4 years....It has been so great watching her crawl, walk, talk, run, sing, dance, and all the other silly things she has done along the way. One of my favorite things I have watched her learn is how to be a big sister. She loves Oskar so much and is always giving him hugs and kisses.

Christmas was so different this year with being so far from home. We still had a good time though!! We let the kids open one present on Christmas Eve. The Air Force had given the kids presents and those are the ones they opened. Jacee got a baby doll and Oskar got some clothes. We didn't get to bed until after midnight, and we got up at 6 am so my parents could watch us open presents over skype. It was early but the kids were excited. Present opening lasted for about 20 mins....haha. The kids had fun playing with their toys all day. I was nervous to cook dinner because we got a lamb roast...I have never cooked lamb. But it turned out great!!! It was nice day and we even got to skype most of our family!

Our FIRST trip to London!

Yesterday (Dec. 17) we made our very first trip to London! We were all so excited to get out and explore this great city! To start off the day we drove to Newmarket to meet Nils's friends Tim and Andrew. They came with us and Tim acted as our tour guide since he had been there already. From Newmarket we drove to Epping to catch the tube (like a subway.) It was my first expierence riding a subway and I was a little nervous...I am clausterphobic, but it wasn't bad at all. Jacee loved it and wanted to stand the whole time and hold on to the bar.

It was about an hour ride to the center of London. We had to transfer a few times and it was a little crazy because there were people everywhere! But we got off the tube and walked up the stairs, and BANG there was Big Ben.

Jacee freaked out and was so happy to see the clock. She had been talking about Big Ben since we knew we were moving here. After taking a few pics we walked down and looked at the London Eye.

It is ginormous! It would be so amazing to ride but I am deathly afraid of heights! Jacee wanted to go so bad...maybe next time! It would be cool to see everything from so high. There were street vendors everywhere and we got two huge donuts and they were so dang good! Oskar quite enjoyed them! From there we walked to a little Italian restaurant. And when I say little, I mean TINY!!! It was crowded of course...I had lasagna and it was pretty good. I do have to say not as good as my momma's! From there we decided to make our way down to Buckingham Palace. There were so many cool and interesting buildings, I had no clue what they were but I was snapping pictures!

As we got closer to the palace the buildings got more and more grand! I loved the Admirality Arch. And the way the sun was shining it made it glow!

We finally got to the Buckingham Palace and it was very cool to see! I loved the big golden gates!

While we were here it started to rain really lightly so we decided it was time to head for the tube and go home. As we were walking to the station we walked down this really cool street with some pretty expensive stores. It was neat looking in all the display windows.

It was a long ride back to Epping and Newmarket but we were all satisfied with the trip! There is still so much that I want to see and I can't wait to go back.

Haha....NO. We got our household goods yesterday!!! My house is FULL of boxes! We have started unpacking most of the boxes and getting stuff put away. I think it will take atleast a week to get everything out of boxes. It has been fun seeing Jacee freak out every time she finds a toy, movie, or a book that she hasn't seen in awhile!

Friday Market

Today the kids and I walked to the town center for the Friday market. It is believed to have been held in the same spot every Friday since the 15th century! We walked around and browsed the shops. There were people selling flowers, seafood, fruit and veggies, cakes and cookies, clothes, and all sorts of other things. We ended up getting some carrots, apples,strawberries, oranges, and 2 bags of candy. It was a fun little adventure for the kids and I! It's nice knowing that it's just a short walk to all the shops!

Yay...we FINALLY have internet! I've been a little depressed lately since I haven't been able to skype any of my family. Since my last post we:
1. Moved into our house. We are still getting settled into our house, and are hoping that our own stuff gets here soon. Right now we have loaner furniture from base...and well...it's nice, I guess. HAHA. It basically looks like hospital furniture. I've been worried that none of our stuff will fit in the house, so I just want it to get here already so I can stop!
2. We bought a car. It's nothing fancy, but it will hopefully work for the three years we are here. It is a 1999 Rover. It took us awhile to find a car because we needed an automatic and it seems like all the cars here are manual. We are hoping to buy another cheap car before the new year.
3. We also had a nice little Thanksgiving celebration. One of Nils's friends (they were stationed in Korea together) came over too. We had a good time, and I was happy because all the food turned out!
4. We found a pre-school for Jacee! It is called Busy Bees, and it is wonderful. They have alpacas, mini horses, ducks, and goats. The kids help feed the animals and learn about them. The kids also plant gardens and help tend to them through out the year. The school also has a swimming pool, so the kids can take swimming lessons. It costs extra and we haven't decided if we are going to put Jacee in them. She won't be able to start until Jan. 3rd, but that's only a few weeks away. She will go Mon-Fri from 12:45-3:45. And the best part......!? IT'S FREE! The government allows 15 hours a week free! WAHOO!
5. Osakr started crawling! He just up and went one day! It's so cute to watch him figure new stuff out. I am still adjusting to him being on the move, and I really have to watch what's on the floor. He also pulled himself up for the first time the other day. He crawls over to the stairs and then pulls himself up. Then he likes to hold on to the railing. I'm sure it won't be too long until he tries to climb up the stairs. Can you say BABY GATE!? He has also started waving. I have tried and tried to get a video of him doing it, but of course he always stops right when I get the camera out. I will keep trying though.

Well, this has been quite the update! We have been trying to get out and explore, but it has been hard with the kids, the short amount of daylight, and still getting used to the roads and everything. But we have some fun Christmas activites coming up!

I guess that's the motto I will have to use for the next 3 years! Haha :) We have been in England for almost 2 weeks, and already I'm missing some of the comforts from home. Don't get me wrong, I have been enjoying our time here, but here's a list of some things I miss!

1. My family....obviously!
2. 1% milk! They only have skim, 2% and whole over here and only 2 liter jugs!
3. American TV. I know I can watch it on the internet, but it's just not the same.
4. Fred Meyer. I miss my one stop shop!! We haven't found a store like that over here.

St. Mary's Church

We finally got to get out and explore a little bit of Mildenhall, the city we will be living in soon. We drove by St. Mary's once before and it was so amazing, so I really wanted to get a closer look. I was so happy when we got there and the church was open for visitors! I didn't think we would get a look inside. the grounds surrounding it was covered in gravestones. There were also big stone slabs inside the church that were people's gravestones. It was kind of wierd to see them inside a church but still cool. The church was built in sections and the earliest part of the church (the vestry) was built in 1220. The main body and tower were built in 1420. The church was restored from 1851-1853.

Well it doesn't look like much now, but soon we will move in and set it up all cute! I will post more pics while we are in that process!

Our Day of Travel!

Well, what a day it has been.....

It started at 4 a.m., October 5th. After getting little sleep, we woke up and got our last reamaining things together. It was hard waking the kids so early, and they did not want to get up! We left for the Twin Falls airport at 5:30. Nils's step dad Lynn dropped us off, and my family came to say goodbye too. There were a few tears shed, but I didn't cry as much as I thought I would. Our first flight from Twin Falls to SLC was about an hour long, and the kids slept the whole way! We arrived in SLC at about 8 a.m. and had just over 2 hours until the next flight. Before we took off the plane had to be de-iced and that took forever! And then the communications between the plane and the tower were working correctly. But after about 20-30 mins we departed. Our next stop was Chicago, and I was sure that the kids would be awake and naughty for this flight, but I was wrong. Jacee crashed out and slept all but the last 30 mins and Oskar was awake about the last hour. They were so good when they were awake too. Oskar just smiled and laughed at the people sitting behind us. I tried to get some sleep, but the flight attendants came and sat in front of us and would not stop talking....and boy were they annoying! I try not to judge, but there were two valley girls! "Like oh my gosh, like look at my $200 Tiffany sun glassed..." haha :) Chicago is an hour ahead so we landed there just about 3 p.m. We just barely had time to find our gate, and scarf some pizza before we boarded our next flight to London. There was SO many people on that flight...When we got our boarding passes, Nils noticed that our seats weren't together. We talked to the flight attendants, but they told us there was nothing they could do until everybody boarded the plane and if someone was ok with switching seats. I sat in my seat, inbetween two total stangers, with Oskar on my lap. Nils was two rows back with Jacee. I was so sad because I didn't want to sit away from him. I was trying to think how I would nurse Oskar and hold him the entire flight. About 15 mins before we took off, the guy sitting next to Nils and Jacee offered to switch me seats. I was so relieved!!! Oskar fell asleep right away, but Jacee wasn't tired at all. She watched Lion King about 4 times and played with her toys and books. She was pretty good for the most part, but she got restless and kept wanting to go potty and to walk up and down the aisle. Finally the last hour and a half she fell asleep. Oskar woke up about half way there. He was a good boy and smiled and played with me. It was a 7 hour and 15 min flight.....I never want to do it again! Even though the kids were good, my butt and body were sore from sitting, and I was so tired! I have a hard time sleeping on plans, so that sucks. We got to London about 4:30 a.m. (11:30 p.m. back home). We walked what seemed like FOREVER to get to the baggage claim. Jacee refused to walk so Nils had to carry her the whole way. It was embarrasing to see her scream and throw fits, but I was so tired I didn't even care. We got all 1000000 of our bags, but we were missing Jacee's car seat. So we had to sit and wait for about 30 mins for someone to bring it to us. After we got the kids in the stroller we set off trying to find the bus station. We followed the signs and directions and got to the bus station. Nils bought tickets, but I just had a feeling we were in the wrong place. So Nils asked and sure enough, it was the wrong place. Nils got our tickets refunded and we set off again. We walked for a long time and eventually found where our bus would be coming. We had about 3 hours to kill. And it was a LONG three hours. The kids were so good on the flights, so of course they acted up at the airport. Jacee had been cooped up to long so she was running all over the place. There were so many people where we were, but Nils kept track of her. Oskar was tired and grumpy and just wanted to be held. I finally fed him and got him to sleep. It was nice having the stroller to lay him in. When the bus finally got there we were so happy to see it. We had a 2 hour ride and we allllllll fell asleep. I wante to stay awake and see everything, but my eyes would not obey! From what I did see, it was pretty green. When we got closer to base there were some smaller towns, and they were so cute! All the building were so charming and quaint! I loved seeing all the houses! Most were brick and terrace housing (like townhouses). There was green grass and ivy everywhere. I can't wait to check out the towns! We got to lodging on Mildenhall. We are stationed at Lakenheath, but we were unable to get a hotel room there. It's only about 15 mins to Lakenheath though. Our hotel room is very nice and spacious. There are 2 bedrooms, a living room, a bathroom and a kitchen.

We are very excited to be here and can't wait to get out and explore. It has been hard adjusting to the time, and all I want to do is sleep! It took us awhile to figure out the oven and some of the other appliances! We are definanlty not in Idaho anymore! haha :) I hope to get out tomorrow and get some pictures!!! Don't worry, I wil lnot disapoint in the picture department!

Well after waiting for what seemed like forever...ok a year, NILS IS HOME!!!! He came back to Idaho on Thursday, October 6th! It is so good to have him here!! Jacee hasn't let him outta her sight yet, and Oskar loves having his daddy home! We had a great first weekend, and then it was time to get packing! We don't leave until November 5th, but the movers came today (Oct. 11) to have all our stuff boxed up and shipped out. It was so hard for me to decide what I could and couldn't live with or with out for the next 10 weeks!!! Hopefully we got everything! And I really hope they let me ship all my hair product...haha :) So for now we are just enjoying our last 25 days in America!

One Fine Day...

We finally got a nice spring day! I was so happy to get out of the house and enjoy the sunshine. I met up with my sister Kim and her boys at the playground to let the kids run around for awhile. After an hour or so there we went back to my parents house. The kids had fun drawing with side walk chalk and then riding their bikes. I even let Oskar come out and sit in the sunshine!! He seemed to enjoy the fresh air. Katy, Kim and I also got our gloves and played some catch! I hope that we will have some more nice days soon!

Making the CUT...

Yep, Jacee did something that many kids her age do....she cut her own hair. I thought she was sleeping, so imagine my surprise when I open the door and find scissors and hair on her bed! She was so proud of her self, and I was too sad to be mad. After the initial shock I inspected her locks and realized it wasn't as bad as it could have been. She cut mainly in the front of her head, and a few pieces on top. The next day I took her to my friend Ali's house to get it fixed. The short pieces in front were easily converted into bangs, and layers were cut to hide the other short pieces. I am actually very happy with the new cut! I didn't want her to have bangs because I didn't want hair in her face, but these pretty much stay to the side. Hopefully Jacee has retired as a hair stylist and won't cut her hair again!!!!!

Sunday March 27, Oskar was given his baby blessing. My father, Bishop Kenny Hulse gave the blessing and it was so beautiful. I loved how Oskar looked in his little outfit. I was afraid it wouldn't fit him, but thankfully it did. I am so happy that we were able to have the blessing done, but I wish Nils could have been here for it.

Growing So Fast!

My big boy is changing and growing so much! He is packing on the pounds and is so cute! It's so crazy to think that he is now 6 weeks old. Time goes by too fast! It's been really hard taking care of 2 little ones on my own, but my family has been soooo helpful and I am very greatful. Jacee continues to adore Oskar and loves on him every chance she gets.

Oskar Kellan Jett Sjostrom was born on Feb. 9th, 2011 at 9:23 am. He weighed 9 lbs 6 oz (I know, HUGE) and was 21 inches long. For those who want to know, here is his birth story!

On Feb. 8th, I had a doctor appointment. I was 39 weeks and 2 days, and VERY ready to have him. I was only dilated to a 2 so I was dissapointed for sure. We scheduled another appointment for the following week and also talked about me being induced if nothing happened on its own. The rest of the day I was pretty bummed and just moped around. The next morning around 5 am I started having contractions. They were about 8 mins apart, but it took me awhile to actually believe they were real and not just in my head. Around 7:30 am they went from 8 mins to 4 mins apart. I decided to wake up Nils so we could figure out what we wanted to do. Considering how fast Jacee's labor was we decided it would be best to get to the hospital ASAP! So we got our things together, said goodbye to Jacee and were off. When we got to the hospital at about 8:20 all the delivery rooms were full, so they put us in a room they liked to call 'the closet'. And that's pretty much what it was! The nurse checked me and I was a 5! I was so happy that I would be having him that day! After being there for probably 20-30 mins my contractions were right on top of each other and I was getting no relief in between. I wanted an epidural and we were waiting for the anesthesiologist to get there. The nurse checked me again and I was at a 9! I started feeling the urge to push right around the time they took me to the delivery room. The doctor decided there was no way we could wait for the epidural, or any meds for that matter. So once again I had to give birth with NO pain killers. It was pretty brutal but the nurses and doctor insisted that I was doing great! Nils was so amazing through the whole process to. He held my hand (I'm pretty sure I broke a few of his fingers), and was there when I needed him. I started pushing and he was out in about 5 mins, but it felt like an eternity! I was soooo happy when it was all over and I felt instant relief...well for a min! Oskar was here and that's all that mattered. The doctor guessed he weighed about 8-8.5 pounds. When the nurse said he weighed 9 lb 6 oz we were all stunned! After everything was over we finally got time to call our families and let them know that the lil guy was here. It was an amazing feeling seeing and holding my son for the first time.

It's been 2 days now and we are definintly getting adjusted. At first Jacee didn't really seem to know what was going on, and it took her awhile to even be interested in Oskar. She hasn't shown any jealousy towards him and I hope that doesn't change. Now she wants to hold him and kiss him all the time. It is so stinking cute to see her play and talk to him! I am very excited to start this new journey!

Jacee celebrated her 3rd birthday on the 5th of January! We woke up early that morning and she opened her presents from her dad and I. Nils watched on skype. She even got to eat cake for breakfast! We celebrated her birthday on Saturday with my family and on Sunday with Nils' family. She was spoiled so much with 3 days to open presents and 3 times eating cake! But I guess it was her 3rd birthday, so that's ok!

Ok so Christmas was over 2 weeks ago...and I am just now updating! Ha....I've been a slacker. We had a very nice Christmas this year. It was definantly different this year with Nils being in Korea. He stayed up and watched us open presents on Christmas morning. It was nice that he was able to do that! Of course Jacee was spoiled by us and everyone else! She got so many toys, clothes, books, and movies. We spent all day with family and had a wonderful time!

This year I decided that Jacee would be a cute BSU cheerleader!! She looks so adorable, don't ya think? She LOVED wearing it, and I didn't think I would be able to get it off. Friday we went with Kim and her boys, and a few of Kim's friends and their kids trick-or-treating around the businesses in Buhl. It was a lot of walking, but we had fun! Jacee got a TON of candy!

Later Friday night we went to the church trunk-or-treat party. We had some good chili, my mom's pot won 2nd place! Jacee found a lil friend and they ran around and played together most of the night. When it came time to get some candy, Jacee pretty much knew what she was doing. She got a ton more candy and she was thrilled. By Saturday we were both pretty Halloweened out, and stayed home that night. I don't think I'll get away with that next year though!

We have enjoyed watching and cheering for BSU this football season! It's cute to hear Jacee yell and cheer for the team! We will have to take her to a game sometime!

Gosh I have been a slacker! There are a few new things going on in our lives....and now I will tell you about them!

*Nils received orders to Korea :(
*I am pregnant! We found out on September 9th that we are having a BOY!
*We packed up and moved back to Idaho.
*We spent a week in Oregon visiting Nils' dad!

On Monday, October 4th, Nils leaves for Korea. I am not looking forward to it at all, and I know that Jacee will have a hard time adjusting. Jacee and I will be living with my parents for the year that he will be gone. I am SO thankful that I have so much love and support from my family, because I will need it! Nils is trying to schedule his 30 day mid-tour in February so he can be here for our sons birth. I really, really hope that he is able to be here!!

Well that pretty much sums it up! Hopefully I will keep posting stuff as it happens so I don't have to play catch up :)

We went to the zoo recently, and we let Jacee pick out one thing in the gift shop. She picked this tiger mask...and she has had the best time with it. She loves to wear it around the house and scare us. She thinks it's the funniest thing ever!

2010 Family Reunion

We had SO much fun at Bear Lake this year! Nils and I got there Thursday at about 6 pm and were so happy to see Jacee. She had stayed a few days with Kim and her family. Thursday night we ate dinner with the whole camp and then went to the street dance. The kids had so much fun getting their groove on. Even Papa and some of the adults got in on the action. Friday we spent a lot of time at the beach! Of course Jacee loved the lake!!! Kim brought a little life jacket and Jacee absolutley loved it because she could go out deep and swim. After the lake it was lunch time and nap time...for everyone! That evening we had dinner and just hung out at camp. Saturday was another day at the beach. I even went for a swim...that water was so cold but it felt good. We ended up leaving Saturday night so we could sleep in our own bed! It was a great trip and we can't wait for next year!

Oh man, it's been forever! But I am finally updating!!! Way back in June my mom, Kim, Madi and the boys came up and visited us here in Utah. We went to lunch, played at the splash pad, and then went and fed the birds at the pond! It was a great day and a lot of fun!

We are happy to say that we are going to be parents again in February!!!! We are so excited, and Jacee is too! She is going to be a great big sister! We are a little sad that Nils is leaving in October for Korea and will be gone a whole year :( But hopefully he can time his mid tour just right and be here for the birth. We also found out that after Nils gets back from Korea we are going to be moving to a base in England!!! We are super excited to be able to travel and see new places! It is going to be hard, but we are trying to stay positive!

My birthday (May 4th) was awesome! Nils and Jacee gave me my present a couple days early...it was an ipod touch!!!! I love it soooo much! On my bday we went and had sushi for lunch! After that we went bowling, it was fun to have Jacee bowl with us! We went home and rested for a little while, then went to the Clearfield Aquatic Center and went swimming! I love taking Jacee to the pool. She is such a water baby, and I love seeing her splash and play in the water. She loved to go down the slides and swim in the lazy pool. After swimming we went and got pizza from Papa Murphey's, and then to Cold Stone to get an ice cream cake! It was an awesome birthday, and I felt so special!

This past week Nils, Jacee and I went on an adventure! We left Friday, April 2nd and headed out to Las Vegas! The drive was long, and stinky since Jacee got a little car sick on the way there. But after about 6 hours we finally made it. Our first stop was to Nellis AFB to get tickets for the Adventure Dome at Circus Circus. We also stopped by the BX and got a stroller since we forgot ours at home....so glad we did! By that time Stephen (Nils' brother) and his wife Lori had made it to Vegas (they came from Boise). So we met them at the hotel (Circus Circus). There we waited for Nils' sister Viktoria and her hubby Troy to get there. Once they arrived we got the rooms and were ready to go! We ate at the buffet in the hotel then decided to walk the strip. It was fun to take Nils and Jacee, who have never been there, to see all the lights of the fabulous Las Vegas! But we had 2 little kids with us (Jacee and Reese) so after walking half way down the strip we turned around and went back to the hotel. The next morning we got up and ate breakfast, and by that time Jacee was ready for a nap. So Nils volunteerd to take her up to the room so she could sleep. The rest of us walked around the shops of the hotel until they woke up. After that we all went to the Adventure Dome. It was really crowded, but we took the kids on a few rides. Jacee loved them all, and she even liked the 4D Spongebob ride! I was kinda bummed I didn't get to go on any of the adult rides, but oh well! After awhile we were all hungry so we decided it was lunch time! We drove up to the Hard Rock Cafe and ate there. It was the first one I had been to so it was pretty cool. From there we walked to the strip and started where we left off from the night before. We watched the water show at the Bellagio, and Jacee loved it! She said WOW through the entire thing! We also went to the M&M store. It's a pretty cool place but there were SO many people there. We got Jacee a lil container with some M&M's in it. After walking so much everyone was so tired so we just went to bed! The next morning we got up and packed everything. We said goodbye to everyone and then we were on the road to California!

The drive to Lincoln, CA was a little longer than the drive to Vegas, but it seemed to go pretty quickly. We were going there to visit Nils' Aunt Margey and also his Grandma and Grandpa. When we arrived Sunday evening Aunt Margey had warmed us up some Easter dinner leftovers and it was good! We ate and then got settled in. The next morning we went to the Galleria Mall in Roseville...man this mall was huge!!! We went to the Disney Store and got Jacee 2 Minnie Mouse shirts, a Minnie Mouse cup, a Minnie Mouse bag, 2 pairs of Minnie Mouse shoes (flats and flip flops), a Mickey Mouse doll, and a lil Minnie Mouse fan/toy. There was also a carousel in the mall so we let Jacee ride on it 2 times. When we got back to Aunt Margey's house we walked down to the waterfall at the enterance to her sub division. We took some pictures and they turned out really good! The rest of the evening we spent at the house. On Tuesday morning we drove to Sacarmento and went to the zoo. It wasn't very big, but it was fun to see all the animals. Jacee liked the monkeys, the giraffes, and the flamingos. After the zoo we walked across the street to Fairytale Town. Here they had little displays from fairy tales. There was a giant shoe slide (Old lady who lived in a shoe), the 3 little pigs, Cinderella's carraige, King Arthur's castle, and many more! Jacee had fun going on the slides and seeing the animals. We decided to atleast drive by the Capital building since there wasn't any parking around. It was a very pretty building. Next we stopped by Gunther's Ice Cream...oh my it was delicious!! It was celebrating it's 70th anniversary, so that was cool. But that was our day in Sacramento! On Wednesday we did a little more shopping, and then drove to Roseville to see Bamma and Grandpa Bill. I thought Jacee was going to be shy, but she warmed right up to them! It was cute to see them playing together! They took us to dinner at a lil place called Carrows. It was nice to visit with them and see what they were up to. This was mine and Jacee's first time meeting them too. On Thursday Nils, Jacee and I drove to San Francisco! It was about a 2 hour drive from Lincoln. On the way there you have to pay a toll...well we didn't know this! It was $4.00 but we only had $2.50 in cash. Thankfully the guy let us through! We parked the car (for $15.00, this place was expensive) and started walking down to the Fisherman's Wharf. We stopped along the way and went to the aquarium, it was so cool! They had walkways made of glass and the fish were all around us! We saw sharks, fish, star fish, rays, and many more! We stopped at the Hard Rock Cafe right next to the aquarium (2 times in a week we got to eat there). After lunch we continued walking. We saw Alcatraz, some big boats and the Golden Gate Bridge. I wish we could have gotten closer to the bridge, but we didn't. We stopped at a really cool candy store and got a bumch of salt water taffy!! YUM :) We also went to the Boudin store and got some fresh sourdough bread! It smelled so good in there! After walking so much, we were ready to go home! So we did the short drive back to Lincoln. That night we packed all our stuff up and got ready to hit the road the next morning. It took about 10 hours to get home..man it was a LONG drive! But Jacee was pretty good (oh yah and she got car sick again), and it went by in no time ;)

On March 22, Nils and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary! We had a nice little brunch at Star Cafe...we love it there!! Good food for an even better price. After eating we headed over to a local park that has a pond. We took some bread and let Jacee feed the birds. I thought she would be scared of them but she went right up to the birds and threw them some bread. After doing that we let Jacee play on the toys for awhile. At 4:00 Nils had to go to Salt Lake to work at the Jazz game (they volunteer for work and get money for their shop). So Jacee and I went to the commissary and go some frosting and a cake mix. When we got home we mad daddy an awesome cake! When Nils got home he saw the cake and loved it! We finished off the evening watching The Notebook! It was a great day, and I am so lucky to have a wonderful husband and an amazing daughter!!!

We started Jacee at some classes at My Gym here in Layton. She goes once a week to the class where they sing, play, dance and play games. It is really good for her tp be around kids the same age as her. The first class was NOT good. She just wanted to play and cried during circle time. But the second class went MUCH better! She can also go to free plays a couple times a week. At free plays they just play and don't have structured time like in class. I'm glad that she is adjusting and it is fun for her!

So I surprised Nils with a chocolate lab this Jan. He's been wanting one since he found out that his friend's dog was pregnant. I kept telling him no, since I'm not much of an animal person. Nils went on TDY to Florida and while he was gone I decided that it would be fun to surprise him. So I talked to his friend and I got the last chocolate lab puppy. The day Nils came home we went over to their house for pizza and poker. I brought the puppy out and handed her to Nils. He was like 'Oh she's cute, not I just have to convince Andi to get her'. I stood up and said 'Well since I have some money in my purse, I guess I'll pay for her'. I handed the friend the money, but Nils still didn't get it! I said 'I don't think he gets it.' Then Nils looked up and was like 'WHAT!?!' He FINALLY understood that the puppy was his! He was so happy and excited! It took us a few minutes to decide her name, but we ended up naming her Molly. It's been fun having her, but it's also been a lot of work. Nils and Jacee love her, and I'm working on that part ;)

Jacee turned 2 on Jan. 5, 2010! I still can't believe that she is 2!!! Nils took the day off from work and we went and had some fun! We went down to Sandy and ate at Johnny Carino's, and if course it was delicious! After that we went to the Living Planet Aquarium. We have been there before but this time Jacee seemed to really enjoy it and she loved the fish! Later that evening we had dinner as a family, then some yummy cake and ice cream. It was really nice to just spend the whole day together, just the 3 off us!

Elder Hulse Returns!

KC came home December 30, 2009! It is SO good to have him home! He got to meet Jacelyn, Dylon and Kaeleb finally! He is still the same ol KC just a bit more spiritual ;) We were able to come and spend the weekend with the family! There were so many stories and memories told! It was so great to have the whole family together again! With 6 kids and 2 parents that's not an easy task!

So it's taken me forever to update this...but at least I'm doing it! Christmas 09 was very exciting for us! Jacee was almost 2 and we knew that she would understand better about what was going on! On Christmas morning she ran straight to her power wheels! She just wanted to ride it and not open anything else! Finally we got her to look at her other presents! She got a lot of cute clothes, and fun toys! We ended up going home to Idaho for the weekend, even though we said we weren't going to! But we wanted to be around family. It was a great Christmas and we can't wait til next year!

Yesterday Jacee got to play in the snow for the first time this year! We bundled her up in a long sleeve shirt, pants, socks, snow pants, scarf, gloves, coat, boots and a hat! She looked like a pink marshmallow, it was so cute. She loved the snow too, and kept eating it. That would have been okay with me, but there was leaves and dirt mixed in with it. The night Nils came home!

So, as you know Nils has been in Afghanistan for the past 3 months. Well on the 19 of October her finally came home! Jacee and I were so excited! We spent all day getting the house clean, getting balloons, decorating a cake, making welcome home signs, and just waiting around. His plane was scheduled to come home at 11:55 p.m. This was my first time doing this, and I was nervous! We left the house at 11, and drove to the hangar where we would pick him up. There were so many people there with flags, posters, and they were all cheering! After about 20 minutes of being there a guy got up and talked to us and said the plane was landing. They opened the doors and we saw the huge plane! I almost started crying when I saw it, but I held back. After about 10 minutes we finally spotted Nils walking in the rain towards the hangar. Jacee and I ran up to him and gave him the biggest hug! Jacee was a little unsure of him, and didn't want him to hold her. We hung around for a little bit talking to friends then Nils got his luggage and we headed home. Once we got home Jacee let Nils hold her, and they played and laughed! It was adorable! It's been a couple days now since he has been home, and it has been wonderful! I am so proud of him, and he is my hero!

So glad to have him home safe with us! We love you Nils!!!

Black Island Farms harvest Festival and corn Maze

Last night Katy, Jacee, Brittney, Kierra, and Heidi went to a corn maze in Syracuse. It was New Moon themed, and it was awesome! We got there just after sunset and went for a hayride first. The hayride took us out the a huge pumpkin field, and we all got to pick out a pumpkin! After the hayride we ventured over to the corn maze. There were 4 different mazes, and we went through the Team Jacob maze. We wanted to go through the Edward maze, but you had to go over a huge set of stairs, and we had 2 stollers. The maze took us about 2 hours to get through, and it was a lot of fun! I was just glad that Jacee slept the entire time in the maze. We got lost a lot, but it seemed like there was always people around to help us. After the maze we walked around the farm for a little bit. We watched a couple of pig races, and fed a cow too. It was a really fun night!

My friend Brittney and I took our daughters to the Treehouse Musuem in Ogden yesterday. It is a hands-on children's musuem, and it was a lot of fun. There was so much to do and see! Some of the things we did: Played with toy trains, dressed up as cowboys and rode toy horses, sat around a play campfire, played drums in a tipi, wrote on chalkboards at school, milked a cow, played in houses from around the world, dressed up as a princess, had a tea party, sat in the oval office, played drums and xylophones in the music room and, took care of the babies in the hospital.

Friday September 4th, we went to the county fair! There was Kim with Eligh and Dylon, Me and Jacee, Mom and Madison (even Dad came for a little bit!!). We took the 3 little kids on the kiddie rides and they loved them! It was so cute to see Jacee on the rides, I wish Nils could have been there to see her too. I went on the big kid rides with Madi, and we had a lot of fun! Our favorite was the Super Tilt! We went like 4 times, and the last time we went with Eligh too! Madi, Eligh and I also went on the Ferris Wheel, Eligh kept calling it a steering wheel. It was funny! They were kind of scared when we first started going, but once it started they liked it. Eligh yelled out to Kim "Mom, I'm not crying!!". When they started unoading the other passengers we were stuck at the top and Eligh said "This is soo dangerous". He is such a funny lil kd. But we ate a lot of good food, and also went to see some pigs, horses, ducks, and bunnies! It was a good time at the fair!!!

Weekend in Idaho

Jacee, Katy and I went home this past weekend for Madison's birthday. We got there Thursday, and I was so excited for Madi's present that I gave it to her that day (her bday was Saturday). I got her the movie 17 Again, and a book where she could write her own stories and draw all the pictures. It was really fun to help her with that. Mom and Dad got her a new bike and gave it to her Friday. Saturday I helped Mom get things ready for Madi's party. We made food, decorated the dining room and got the pinata ready. Her friends came over at 1:00 ready to party. They ate, decorated cookies, opened presents, did a scavenger hunt, and then the pinata. It was a lot of fun! That night we had the grandparents over for some pizza and pie! We left Sunday to come back home to Utah. We had a very good weekend!!

In the past week we have gone swimming at the pool on base and the Roy Aquatic Center. They were both fun, and Jacee loved it. The one is Roy was really cool and had a lot of things for kids to play with. There's a little frog slide, and a big toy in the middle to climb on. There were 2 big slides, but we didn't go on them this time. I love taking Jacee swimming because she likes it so much, but she scares me a lot too. She's very independent and wants to do EVERYTHING by

Family Reunion 2009

On Thursday, July 30 Katy, Jacee and I packed up and headed for Bear Lake. Every year we have our family reunion there for the Hutchison (my dad's dad's mom's side...or something like that) side of the family. Thursday night there was the street dance. All the kids loved it, and they danced the night away! We played at the beach and in the cold lake water on Friday. My Dad and I swam to the buoy...which almost killed me! It was a lot farther this year, than it has been in a long time. Jacee loved the water and the sand. She had a lot of little friends there to "play" with too. Friday night was the talent show. Usually it's pretty boring, but this year my cousin Skyler sang 2 songs and he was amazing. His girlfriend sang too and she was very good. My cousin Jeremy also sang and played the guitar...I love when he sings. His brother, Brandon and his wife sang a song as well. I guess I have a pretty talented family! Madison also played a little harp looking instrument. It was cute. on Saturday we went to the family meeting and auction. My parents got Jacee some cute bows and me a bookmark. After the auction we went back to camp and took naps, then we went to the beach for a little bit. That night we just hung out and played games with the family. On Sunday Madison woke Katy and I up at 7:30...UGH! We got up and started packing to go home. After what seemed like forever...everything was in the car! We said our goodbyes and hopped in the car and headed home. It was a fun weekend trip that we are still recovering from!

Nils left on Saturday July 18 to Afghanistan. All this past week has been really emotional for us. Jacee and I dropped him off at 6:30 pm, and it was so hard. I didn't want to take a picture because I had been crying so much, but I'm glad I did. It was also hard to say goodbye because I knew Jacee had no idea what was going on. His plane didn't leave the base until 11:45 that night. He text me at 4:30 that morning to say they had made it to New York, and they were waiting to take off again. I haven't heard from him since, but I'm hoping soon! Today is the first day without him and it's been really hard. You don't know how much you need/rely on someone til they are gone. Thank goodness I have Jacelyn to keep me laughing...but it's hard because I know she misses her daddy. We are hoping he returns home quickly and safely.

Sleepy Girl

Jacee has had trouble sleeping the past few nights, and it's been hard on all of us. The other night she wouldn't lay in bed, but I shut her door so she couldn't get out. She cried for a bit, but then soon fell asleep. I went to check on her, but I couldn't even open her door, becasue she was laying in front of it. Nils scooted the door open enough to get in the room and lay her in her bed. I snapped a picture of her laying on the floor...

Bear Lake...again!

We took another family trip to Bear Lake to spend some time together before Nils left. It was good to be just us three and the lake. Jacee loved the water and would spend all day in it if she could. It's so fun to watch her play and splash and try to swim.

4th of July weekend!

We had such a great weekend home celebrating the 4th! We went to the parade in Buhl, a bbq in Hazelton, and fireworks in Twin Falls! It was really fun watching Jacee this year, because she's so much more aware of things.

I had a lot of fun with my little sister's too! We were pretty goofy...but it was great to hang out with them!

Katy was a tiger, I was a pirate, Madi was a dog and Jacee was a clown!

And we got to see this beautiful double rainbow!

Does she get her driving skills from me??

Jacee has discovered a new, fun and exciting thing to do. It was so cute and fun to watch her become more independent and brave. I'm sure she would be out doing this alllll night, if we let her!
