California!

We left Saturday afternoon from SLC and flew to San Diego, Viktoria and Reese picked us up at the air port! After checking into our hotel we decided to go to Sea World! The animals were amazing and so cute! I loved the peguins and the dolphins, but all the animals were so cool to see. There was a water ride there so Viktoria and I went on it, and we took Reese too, bad idea! She cried the entire time!! It was a fun but a lil scary! We spent most of the day there and were so tired that night. On Sunday we went to the San Diego Zoo. I didn't realize how big it was. We walked so much, that I knew I'd be sore the next day. The panda and polar bears were really cool to see. We got to see most of the animals before Reese and Jacee decided it was time to go. After the zoo we went to Camp Pendleton (Marine Base) to go to the private beach Del Mar. It was a nice, uncrowded beach. Jacee wasn't too sure of the sun, wind and freezing water! But after we put on her jacket and hat she decided the beach wasn't such a bad place. She liked to play in the sand. Reese and Viktoria decided to bury Uncle Nils in the sand, it was funny! He kept trying to raise his head and see what he looked like, but Reese would yell at him and say "Uncle Nils, you're cracking!". We played there for a little bit, but we were all very tired. Monday we went to La Jolla beach. It was so pretty! There was a private beach just for the seals. They were so cute, and funny to watch. After seeing the seals we went to Powells, an AWESOME candy store! They had so much candy, Nils and I were in heaven! We each got a bag full of gummy candy, and got Jacee a cotton candy sucker. We did a little shopping at some of the local stores there too. Nils wanted to get some good mexican candy, so we had to stop at a mexican store for that. After all that we got in the car and made the 2 hour drive to 29 Palms ( Marine Base Viktoria and Reese live at). On the way there we saw so many of those energy windmill things. There were seriously thousands and thousands. They are Palm Springs' main source of power. We stayed at 29 Palms Monday and Tuesday night. It was nice to see where Viktoria lived, even if it was in the middle of nowhere! Wednesday we packed and drove back to San Diego, then got on our flight and went home! It was a wonderful trip, and we can't wait to go back soon!
