Weekend in Oregon!

We went to Eugene OR this past weekend for Nils's dad's (Jan) wedding! It was good to see a lot of family and meet new family! The wedding was great, and spending time with family was even better! Nils's older brother was there with his wife Lori and their son Gage. Nils's sister Viktoria was there with her daughter Reese, and Nils's lil sister Hayley came too! I got to meet Nils's aunt Jannie, who lives in Sweden, so that was cool too! Diana, Jan's new wife, also had her son Rick and his wife Twinky there. It was a very good weekend overall!

Sunny Days!

It's been so wonderful actually having a couple of spring days! Jacee LOVES being outside! I think she would stay out there all day if she could! She likes to go for walks and look at the neighborhood dogs (mommy's mean and won't get her one). It's a lot of fun to take walks, but Jacee is so curious and wants to look at everything, especially the neighbor kids' toys! haha! We found a scooter at the splash pad the other day. Nils showed Jacee how to put her feet on it, then he pushed her around on it. It was so cute and she loved it! She also likes to jump on her trampoline while she's outside! I'm sure this summer is going to be amazing! Maybe I'll get a tan from all the time we'll spend outside! Hey, I can dream!

Trip home!

Jacee and I took a trip home these past 2 weeks while Nils was in Louisiana! It was good to see the family and spend Easter at home! We are glad to be back home, and we can't wait to pick up daddy soon!

First Anniversary!

Nils and I celebrated one year of marriage on March 22nd! The year went by so fast! So much has happened to us in just this one year together. The ones that stand out in my mind are moving to Utah, and celebrating Jacee's first birthday! On our special day we went to lunch, and spent the whole day together! I also made Nils a cake that was supposed to look like our wedding cake! It was a fun and yummy project! And Nils surprised me with a trip to the spa! All in all it was a wonderful day!

California!

We left Saturday afternoon from SLC and flew to San Diego, Viktoria and Reese picked us up at the air port! After checking into our hotel we decided to go to Sea World! The animals were amazing and so cute! I loved the peguins and the dolphins, but all the animals were so cool to see. There was a water ride there so Viktoria and I went on it, and we took Reese too, bad idea! She cried the entire time!! It was a fun but a lil scary! We spent most of the day there and were so tired that night. On Sunday we went to the San Diego Zoo. I didn't realize how big it was. We walked so much, that I knew I'd be sore the next day. The panda and polar bears were really cool to see. We got to see most of the animals before Reese and Jacee decided it was time to go. After the zoo we went to Camp Pendleton (Marine Base) to go to the private beach Del Mar. It was a nice, uncrowded beach. Jacee wasn't too sure of the sun, wind and freezing water! But after we put on her jacket and hat she decided the beach wasn't such a bad place. She liked to play in the sand. Reese and Viktoria decided to bury Uncle Nils in the sand, it was funny! He kept trying to raise his head and see what he looked like, but Reese would yell at him and say "Uncle Nils, you're cracking!". We played there for a little bit, but we were all very tired. Monday we went to La Jolla beach. It was so pretty! There was a private beach just for the seals. They were so cute, and funny to watch. After seeing the seals we went to Powells, an AWESOME candy store! They had so much candy, Nils and I were in heaven! We each got a bag full of gummy candy, and got Jacee a cotton candy sucker. We did a little shopping at some of the local stores there too. Nils wanted to get some good mexican candy, so we had to stop at a mexican store for that. After all that we got in the car and made the 2 hour drive to 29 Palms ( Marine Base Viktoria and Reese live at). On the way there we saw so many of those energy windmill things. There were seriously thousands and thousands. They are Palm Springs' main source of power. We stayed at 29 Palms Monday and Tuesday night. It was nice to see where Viktoria lived, even if it was in the middle of nowhere! Wednesday we packed and drove back to San Diego, then got on our flight and went home! It was a wonderful trip, and we can't wait to go back soon!

We took Jacee to the play ground the other day! She loved the slides and went down like a million times! She smiled and laughed so much, it was adorable! Now that she's getting bigger we can take her to do more things! It's soo much fun!
